In December 2017 12 guides were trained by international trainers. The training course started on December 8 and ended on 20 December.
The first stage of trainings included theoretical and practical training, which was held in pre-selected museums, old Tbilisi pedestrian and transport routes.
At the second stage, guides were tested and were accredited by Guidelines of World Federation of Tourist Guides Associations.
WFTGA accredited trainers will have the right to conduct Guidance Study courses. The head of the National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze met the participants of the training at the National Museum:
"Leading specialists of the World Federation of Tourist Guides Association have trained Georgian specialists, who will be future trainers. This will enable us to make more guides qualified according to international standards, "said Giorgi Chogovadze, Head of Tourism Administration.
